Field Associate

Inhabitect is a full-service firm devoted to designing, building, and growing all forms of living architecture in the places we inhabit, both on rooftops and at grade. Specializing in green stormwater infrastructure and ecological-minded landscaping, we pride ourselves on creating spaces that provide lasting environmental, social, and economic resiliency for our clients, collaborators, and community for generations to come.

Our Field Associates are entry level laborers that work outside, assisting to design, build and grow all sorts of landscape projects. Their role is a hybrid of a landscaper, a carpenter and a roofer. They play a critical role in the success of the company and they must follow policy, protocol and help to get projects completed on time, on budget, meeting both client and company expectations.

They must always set a good example and have a good attitude. They are expected to come to work prepared and have a sense of pride in the quality of their work.

This person will have:

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (CDL a plus)
• Strong work ethic and desire to grow their career
• Ability to repeatedly lift and carry, lift and move 50 lbs on a regular basis

• Ability to work well with others
• Experience work in one of the following: Landscaping, Roofing, Carpentry or Farming
• Experience with operating heavy equipment is desired
• Must be self motivated and have a desire to learn

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour

• Traverse City, MI: Relocate before starting work (Required)
