The ICOS Vision Systems division focuses on the backend of the line semiconductor industry providing fully automated tools to inspect and sort, finished integrated circuit packages. For more than 15 years, ICOS has been a market leader with tray-to-tray and tray-to-tape inspection and sorting tools found in the production facilities of all major chipmakers in the world. Job Description/Preferred Qualifications
As a member of the Marketing & Sales team, the Field Application Engineers is responsible for providing technical applications support for the development and implementation of KLA products in customer fabrication facilities. The job involves assisting the sales staff in assessing potential application of company products to meet customer needs. Once the sales deal has been concluded, you will implement detailed customer installation plans and provides follow-up support.
Responsibilities:
- Based in the US, you are one of the Apps specialists for our Zeta metrology products focusing on the US install base in very close contact with the Division in BE
- Coordination of longer-term projects with high-end customers (Intel, IBM, ...) being the link between the customer and the Division for all related activities and ongoing issues.
- Being an expert, you're able to work with the tool, setting up metrology recipes, performing measurements on samples, analyze the results and report in a clear way to customers.
- Being able to build up a good customer relationship and getting insight on customer problems, will be key to be successful in your role.
- You will be responsible for training customers and local service engineers.
- Providing pre- and post-sales support for new customer engagements.
Requirements:
- You are a polyvalent Engineer based in the US
- 2 to 4 years proven experience, preferably as a technical specialist in a high technological environment.
- Familiar with metrology technologies like micro-scopes, spectrometry, interferometry ...
- Project management experience with good communications skills with both customer and the internal organization.
- You are dynamic and like to interact as Apps expert with people on different levels being sales, engineering ...
- A born problem solver, coping well with stress situations
- You are proficient in English
- Prepared to travel to our customers all over the world when required
Minimum Qualifications
Doctorate (Academic) Degree and related work experience of 3 years; Master's Level Degree and related work experience of 6 years; Bachelor's Level Degree and related work experience of 8 years
