Job Description
Working on existing Fiber Optic systems as well as new build fiber to the home projects in north western Illinois and north eastern and central Wisconsin.
This is not an installer job, this involves reading schematics and blueprints to put the new fiber infrastructure together. We work as a team and independently to compete areas efficiently.
Must be able to travel at least 4 days a week. Truck, trailer, tools, hotels, and fuel are provided.
Must be willing to work outside year round. We do work in heated and cooled trailers but still need to be outside.
Must be able to work long days sometimes very long days. We take brakes whenever we want and need throughout the day. The job is fast paced but laid back. Overtime is often unlimited.
Must be able to drive a pickup truck with a trailer and back up with trailer connected.
Fiber Splicing experience is a plus but not necessary. On the job training is provided to motivated candidates that are serious about gaining the knowledge to continue a lucrative career in Fiber Optics.
