We are seeking an FHA Healthcare Processor to join our FHA Lending team.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Establish consistent, proactive, and effective communication channels as primary liaison with clients, originators, underwriters, and ancillary personnel to manage and support project progress to conclusion.
- Manage internal and external collection, storage, analysis, review, and compilation of data and documents required for HUD loan application within deadlines while verifying accuracy and completeness. Due diligence materials include credit, insurance, payoff, operating statements, compliance proofs, property surveys, inspection surveys, census data, and HUD disclosure and certification documentation.
- Perform quality control, internal conflicts, and due diligence checks in appropriate source databases (LDP, EPLS, and OFAC).
- Summarize both quantitatively and qualitatively data collected for inclusion in the underwriting narrative.
- Identify and communicate serious discrepancies to respective parties.
- Assist in the coordination of third-party engagements (appraisers and environmental) and legal counsel.
- Prepare and/or submit standardized HUD correspondence and forms.
- Assist in the registration of entities and individuals in HUD’s APPS system.
- Utilize transaction management database (Salesforce) to track key data and information.
- Physically prepare applications and exhibits for submission to HUD within specifications.
- Assist in the facilitation of clearing HUD deficiencies.
Experience, Skills, and Abilities Required:
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines, determine and shift priorities quickly, and multitask required.
- 3-5 years of experience within the multifamily space.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Experience in audit and/or compliance is preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, able to work with diverse personalities.
- Familiarity with small business, general accounting, real estate, finance, and healthcare.
- Intermediate knowledge of Word, Excel, and Smartsheet.
- Single-family and Fannie Mae experience is desirable, and multifamily and/or HUD experience a plus.
- Creative thinker who enjoys the challenge of making transactions work while mitigating the underlying risk.
