Job Description:
A Fence Installer plays a pivotal role in the installation efficiency of Perfect Picket Fence and Stain’s residential fences. The primary responsibilities of a Fence Installer include executing tasks as directed by the Fence Crew Leader and the Assistant Fence Crew Leader. You are expected to be proactive, staying a step ahead in preparing the necessary materials and tools at the job site to ensure a smooth and continuous workflow. Fence Installer’s duties encompass unloading materials from the vehicle, using transfer carts to transport them from the truck to the installation site, and handling the strapping and unstrapping of the trailer and truck. You will also be engaged in cleaning the job site, managing debris and waste, and ensuring tools are returned to their designated spots after use. As a secondary role, you will assist in the actual installation of the fence. This includes understanding the process of installing Perfect Picket Fence and Stain’s standard residential fences, from start to completion. Learning the basics of this process is crucial for determining the timing and placement of tools and materials during the installation. This position requires a proactive, communicative, and safety-conscious individual who can effectively follow directions and contribute to the team’s success.
Fence Installer Tasks
● Reviewing Pre-Installation layout and video prior to arriving at the job site.
● Understand the process of installing Perfect Picket Fence and Stain’s standard residential fences from start to completion. Material Handling and Setup:
● Immediately begin unloading heavy equipment (Driver and transport cart) into the staging area with Assistant Fence Installation Crew Leader.
● Begin unstrapping material from trailer and marking first posts to be driven to the correct drive height per fence type.
● Transport any tools immediately or shortly required to the job site to stay ahead of the fence installation process.
● Transport all material from truck/trailer to the installation location via transfer cart just prior to its need.
● Move concrete and prepare mixing buckets and hand tools to their required spot as directed by Fence Crew Lead.
Job Site Management and Cleanliness:
● Constantly clean the job site of debris and waste to keep the area clean,safe, and organized.
● Complete Completion Checklist in CompanyCam: Jobsite cleanup.
● Verify job site is fully cleaned/cleared from debris, tools, and trash as appropriate. Assisting and Team Coordination:
● Assist the Assistant Fence Installation Crew Lead and Fence Installation Crew Lead with any requests to accomplish completing the fence installation on time.
● Verbally communicate and verify Assistant Fence Installation Crew Leaders status and upcoming needs.
● Assist in fence installation as directed.
● Express self-motivation, hustle, and awareness of job site status at all times.
Post-Installation and Logistics:
- Complete Completion Checklist in CompanyCam:
- Consolidate load and strap down the trailer and truckload for transport.
- Verify job site is fully cleaned/cleared from debris, tools, and trash as appropriate.
- Verify tools are accounted for and returned safely and securely to the truck.
- Return to the warehouse with the fence installation crew or leave for the next job (clocking out and into the new location).

● Understanding and ability to differentiate different fencing materials required for job completion.

● Repeatedly demonstrate the ability to complete all Perfect Picket Fence and Stain Fence Installer tasks without prompting.

● Demonstrate high attention and vigilance for safety and PPE use as outlined by Perfect Picket’s employee handbook.
Compensation:
Hourly Pay:
● The pay range for the position of Fence Installer is $15-$20 per hour.
