Job Description
The Feed Room at Smith Bros. Inc. is actively seeking qualified candidates to fulfill the role of Feed Room Sales Manager. The Feed Room Sales Manager will work independently as well as with Feed Room Sales Associates, Yard Staff, and Office Staff to build and maintain customer relations. The main responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Maintaining relationships with existing Feed Room customers

- Seeking out and establishing new customers / building customer relationships via in-person farm visits, telephone, and email communication

- Closely monitoring Feed Room inventory and profit margins on products and services

- Maintaining a cleanly, visually appealing storefront and merchandising product as needed

- Providing excellent customer service

- Handling monies and processing both pickup and delivery orders

- Advertising and engaging with customers via social media platforms (primarily Facebook)

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and abilities:

- A passion for providing excellent customer service

- Previous retail, sales, and/ or merchandising experience

- Attention to detail

- Knowledgeable in various technological platforms including Microsoft Excel, Website management (Weebly), and QuickBooks

- The ability to work independently and with a team

- A general love for animals

- Previous experience or knowledge in animal nutrition and/ or agriculture is desirable, but not required

- The physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
