A Feed Mill Operator will provide quality products and services in the operations that will assist member owners of River Valley Cooperative to be financially successful in their farming operations and provide for a sustainable local cooperative operation to serve member needs.
What You’ll Do:
- Operate assigned facilities and equipment efficiently and accurately
- Maintain all assigned facilities and equipment to ensure safe operations, meeting State, Federal, and River Valley Cooperative requirements
- Provide input to the Feed Mill Manager on needed repairs and maintenance of facilities and equipment
- Offer maintenance support for company facilities at the mill locations.
- Perform duties and responsibilities under RVC, HACCP, IDALS, LOL, FSMA, FDA requirements, specifications, and rules, along with other relevant regulations.
- Complete all logs and documentation in a timely manner as required by RVC, State, and Federal agencies.
- Comply consistently with all RVC and customer Bio-Security procedures and requirements.
- Assist or individually complete tasks such as receiving, manufacturing, loading, unloading, housekeeping, sweeping, cleaning, documentation, log-keeping, and maintenance of facilities, equipment, and assigned products.
- Assist in training new employees and support River Valley operations in other functional areas as needed

What You’ll bring:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ag retail and tractor/trailer experience preferred
- Basic computer skills
Working Conditions:
May be exposed to dust, noise, heat, cold, ag chemicals and vapors, and moving machinery on occasion as part of this position. May be required to work long hours in season, as well as work outdoors in all types of weather conditions.
