Features Writer
Location: dmg::media Head Office – New York, NY 10003
Salary: $85,000 - $120,000 depending on experience
Position: Permanent
DailyMail.com is seeking an experienced writer to join the growing Opinion / Features desk in our New York City office.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Writing 1000 – 1400-word articles on subject matter spanning news-driven topics including showbusiness, politics, celebrity, crime, health and other
- Regularly pitching ideas for features, investigations and interviews
- Working with photo editors to compose images to illustrate articles
- Building articles in a content management system
We are seeking professionals with the following experience:
- At least 3-5 years working as a feature writer at a newspaper, news website, magazine or television news show
- An understanding of the DailyMail.com brand, editorial voice and audience
- Knowledge of online research tools
- Ability to restructure opinion articles is a plus
- Experience covering crime, celebrity, showbiz and / or politics is a plus

Dailymail.com operates a 24/7 newsroom, and all shifts are expected to be worked from the office. Applicants must be willing to work flexible hours.

PTO: Standard allowance is 15 days plus one day per every year of service capped at 20 days. Public holidays are not included in this allowance. They are in addition.
