GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
With three different dining options at Wintergreen Resort, our culinary program offers different culinary training styles. From farm to table fine dining to pub food Wintergreen caters to all cooking styles. As Line Cook, beginner or experienced, you are responsible and trained to prepare high quality a la carte or banquet food for guests, including but not limited to slicing, dicing, trimming, sautéing, frying, baking, filleting, steaming, cleaning, roasting, trussing and stuffing. The Devils Grill and The Edge are both looking for experienced and beginner culinary talent to bring on board.
SPECIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:
Assist current kitchen staff members in daily food preparation and production of meals. Responsible for setting and maintaining food production line in accordance with current kitchen standards and practices, as well as the execution of allotted meals in a timely manner in keeping with kitchen standards and practices. Work as part of the kitchen team under the direction of the Executive Chef, Sous Chef, and Chef de Parties to ensure the demands of the kitchen are met. Work to ensure that all guests’ needs are being met in accordance to the highest standards. Considered applicants must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. Applicants must be 18 years of age or older.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to lift a minimum of 25 pounds and capable to stand for extended periods of time.

- Must have a working knowledge of basic culinary terms and practices
- Must have excellent knife skills and understanding of kitchen knife safety practices
- Comply with all health and safety regulations
