Fast Food Attendant

ABOUT THE COMPANY: The SALT Smokehouse is a family-owned group of hospitality brands rapidly expanding in the Tampa Bay area. Our guiding principle is that we love people through food and we live by that. Our current portfolio includes a food hall with 3 restaurant brands, a full-service catering operation, and a gourmet market all at the same location in Lutz. We also have a food truck inside of ZooTampa and a counter within the Cleveland Street Market food hall in Clearwater. Our brands currently include premium craft BBQ (Station House BBQ), Cuban-BBQ fusion (The Smokin’ Cuban), sweet and savory breakfast and brunch (Baby Brisket’s Breakfast Co.), and vegan and gluten free meals and baked goods ready to take home (Revive + Restore Foods).

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Greeting and assisting customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Maintaining knowledge of menu items and ingredients.
• Assembling menu items for maximum tastiness and enjoyment.
• Packaging menu items into proper dine-in or take out packaging with great visual presentation.
• Supervising and maintaining optimal food quality for safety and taste.
• Bagging packaged orders and handing off to customers in a professional and friendly manner.
• Following standardized assembly and portion control guidelines to ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and portion sizes.
• Meticulous cleaning and organizing to maintain a proper and sanitary working environment.
• Following all food safety and hygiene standards.
• Promoting teamwork and collaboration among restaurant staff. Assisting colleagues, coordinating efforts, and maintaining open communication for smooth operations.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Food handling certification - if you don’t already have one, we will help you obtain one.
• Reliable personal transportation - PERSONAL CAR, BIKE, ETC. REQUIRED.
• Must be able to stand for prolonged periods (up to 4 hours), and lift up to 50 lbs. .
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness and hygiene.
• Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, and weekends as needed.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a diverse team.
• COMPENSATION: If you’re looking for an environment where you can earn and grow with the company, you’ve come to the right place. All introductory level employees start at $12.50/hour PLUS tips during your initial training period. We pool tips at our food hall that provide an extra $4-6/hour (or more) in compensation on average. Every employee will have the opportunity to become certified with full knowledge of their position and responsibilities that comes with an automatic raise to $15/hour PLUS tips. In addition to cash compensation, we also provide a free meal during shift, 10% employee discount on all other purchases, flexible scheduling, and more perks to come.

The SALT Smokehouse is located at 16319 N Florida Ave., Lutz, FL 33549 (formerly Station House BBQ). Open Tuesday-Thursday 11am-7pm, Friday-Saturday 11am-8pm, and Sunday 11am-5pm. CLOSED on Mondays.
