Who we are: Indian Creek Farm and Cummins Nursery are two sides of the same coin.
We're a small team that accomplishes a lot. This includes all aspects of Orchard and Nursery Management, growing U-pick fruits and veggies, and running a busy market farmstand.
Position: Farm Worker
Starting pay: 16$/hr more based on experience or 1 month review + free fruits and veggies
Benefits: Paid time off and 3% matching retirement after one year
We are looking for a hard working and adaptable individual to join us for the 2024 growing season and beyond.
Nursery: We grow upwards of twenty thousand apple, pear, and stone fruit trees each year. During the growing season help is needed with planting, grafting, growing, and digging. Winter work is primarily inventory management; processing tree orders in the barn and preparing for spring shipping.
Indian Creek: Orchard responsibilities include assisting in the management of fruit and vegetable crops for the farmstand as well as other tasks necessary for maintaining a working farm. This includes, some tractor work, picking apples...
We are not an organic farm, but we are very conscientious about both our environment and the people that live and work at the farm.
Ideal candidate is a hard worker, quick learner, perceptive of the world around them, and understands the importance of completing necessary tasks within the relevant time frame.
We are willing to train someone who is the right fit.

Have a good attitude
Communicate clearly
Be able to lift 42 lbs ( a bushel of apples)
Competency with basic tools
Comfort on and willingness to operate equipment
Mechanical aptitude
Work well with others and still be self motivated enough for solo projects
