SalarySUMMARY:
The Sports Center Cleaning/Facility Supervisor will work directly with the Sports Center Facility Manager to ensure the efficient operation of all building cleaning functions relating to the Fargo Parks Sports Center. The position will be involved in planning and execution of building Cleanliness program to include supervising, scheduling, and training for the buildings cleaning staff. This position will also provide employee management to ensure programmed and rental activities run smoothly and successfully. The candidate will possess strong attention to detail and organizational skills in facility cleaning operations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Evaluation of this position is based primarily on performance of the following essential functions, which include, but are not limited to:
- Daily building walk-through inspections to determine level of cleanliness throughout the entire building.
- Hire, train, schedule and manage all part time cleaning personnel.
- Collaborate with facility manager and other facility supervisors to create the schedule for operations employees to ensure coverage for all areas of the building being used during open hours and after-hours rentals.
- Perform facility upkeep and cleaning daily to provide a safe and clean environment for staff and guests. Collaborate with Park District’s parks department to maintain overall appearance and cleanliness of exterior grounds, walkways, and parking lots to keep clear of weeds, and trash.
- Operate essential cleaning equipment to include ride on scrubbers, sweepers, carpet extractors, walk behind scrubbers and powered bathroom washing carts.
- Review event schedules and take a leadership role in insuring that event spaces are cleaned and ready for upcoming events for the day. Additionally working with the events department in setting up and converting team rooms, conference rooms and party rooms as necessary from event to event.
- Assist the Facility Manager in meeting or exceeding building cleanliness Key Performance Indicators (KPI).
- Collaborate with Facility Manager to develop and enforce The Sports Center’s Cleanliness SOP’s
- Help as needed with light duty maintenance projects in the facility.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Accepted education and experience are as follows:
Required: Associate degree or certificate from an accredited institution in Facilities Cleaning Industry Management Standard, Facilities management, Building Operations or related field and 1+ years of related work experience
Or
3+ years of related work experience
CREDENTIALS/LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:
Must possess a valid driver’s license.
