The Family WeekendStudent Marketing & Events Coordinator will work with the Director of Parent and Family Engagement to increase current student understanding of and participation in Family Weekend.
The Student Marketing & Events Coordinator will:
- Coordinate Family Weekend marketing, communication, and educational outreach to current students.
- Create and implement a marketing strategy to educate current students about Family Weekend and increase current student engagement in Family Weekend events.
- Design marketing materials that appeal to current students and student organizations highlighting Family Weekend events and involvement opportunities.
- Coordinate student organization involvement in Family Weekend.
- Solicit student organization involvement in Family Weekend.
- Coordinate opportunities for student organizations to showcase their organizations and talents during Family Weekend events (performances, tabling, banner competition, etc.).
- Provide training, guidelines, and clear communication about Family Weekend to participating student organizations.
- Assist the Director of Parent and Family Engagement with creating an assessment strategy for current student and student organization involvement in Family Weekend.
- Work with the Director of Parent and Family Engagement to develop surveys, polls, and/or attendance taking protocols to capture assessment data from both student participates and non-participants.
Student must be available to work in the office at least 5 hours per week March 1 through April 30, and August 5 through October 31, 2024. Student may be authorized to work up to 5 additional hours per week (hybrid).
Student must be available to work Saturday, September 21, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Student will be a representative of the University of Kentucky to students and families and must conduct themselves professionally in person and online at all times.
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities:
