Family Pastor - The Life Christian Church
JOB SUMMARY AND PURPOSE
Schedule: Monday Through Thursday and Sunday
Oversee the spiritual development of children and youth at TLCC onsite and online from
cradle to post college.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee existing Family Ministries which are KPort (kids) and Redline (youth).
- Be the “cheerleader” for the values and strategies of Family Ministry.
- Lead innovation and forward thinking in how to continually imbed TLCC culture into
- Expand our Champions Club (special needs ministry) to accommodate more children.
- Launch and oversee new Family Ministries with Awana (midweek children’s ministry) in
PreK School in Fall 2025.
- Oversee staff including our Youth Pastor, KPort Director & PreK School Director.
- Launch and oversee a parenting and marriage resource hub which includes
- Develop a world class serving environment for LIFE Teams connected to Family
- Provide needed training for volunteers including onboarding, resource database and
- Foster a biblical worldview around hot topic family issues including sexual orientation
- Partner with our Church Online Pastor to develop Family Ministry across our digital
- Partner with our LIFE Groups Director to develop parents through specifically designed
- Serve as a member of the Executive Staff Team to help fulfill church vision as a whole.
- Create and update Standard Operating Procedure templates to reflect most accurate job
- Manage budgets for the Family Ministry.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Past experience overseeing a successful and robust children’s and/or youth ministry.
- A bachelor’s degree from an accredited Bible college, university, seminary, or equivalent
- A strong and biblically grounded marriage and family dynamic.
- A love for kids, students and families along with the ability to connect with all
- Experienced in recruiting, organizing and developing volunteer and leadership teams.
- Strong conflict management and relational skills.
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, independent worker with leadership and administrative
- An understanding of special needs children’s ministry dynamics.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Relationally gifted with the ability to work well with people.
- Ability to attract high-capacity leaders.
- Ability to create thought provoking curriculum.
- Proficient computer skills and in-depth knowledge of relevant software.
- Capacity to track details of multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to manage sensitive matters and information.
- Knowledge of standard office administrative practices and procedures.
