JOB SUMMARY:
Livingston Health Care seeks a full-time Family Medicine Physician to join our practice located in Livingston, Montana, the heart of Park County, Yellowstone River and Beartooth Mountains. Join six Family Medicine Physicians to provide comprehensive Family Medicine including clinic and pediatric hospital call. We serve a diverse patient population of local ranchers, miners, railroad workers, travelers from around the world visiting Yellowstone National Park and a wide range of outdoor enthusiasts, including elite athletes.

Livingston Health Care is an affiliate with Billings Clinic, which includes an integrated EHR (Cerner) with broad subspecialty support.

Schedule:
  • 1.0FTE (40 hours)
  • Monday - Friday

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Provide comprehensive primary care services to patients of all ages, including infants, children, adolescents, adults, and seniors. This encompasses preventive care, routine check-ups, and management of acute and chronic medical conditions.
  2. On-call Critical Access Hospital pediatric coverage typically includes ~eight, 24-hour shifts per month managing newborn resuscitation, pediatric critical illness stabilization and transfer, hospital admission with comprehensive inpatient care and coverage of the, "Kids Care Line," that answers family phone calls from the clinic.
  3. Monitor patients' health status, adjust treatment plans as necessary, and provide ongoing support to promote disease control and quality of life.
  4. Prescribe and educate patients about the purpose, dosage, and potential side effects of prescribed medications to promote medication adherence and safety.
  5. Offer patient-centered education and counseling on various health-related topics, empowering patients to make informed decisions about their healthcare.
  6. care transitions, communicate effectively with other members of the healthcare team, and advocate for continuity of care to optimize patient outcomes.
  7. Participate actively in Livingston HealthCare's quality assurance programs to maintain and enhance the standard of care.
  8. Engage in the peer review process to contribute to ongoing professional development and quality improvement initiatives.
  9. Maintain compliance with annual education requirements and regulatory standards.
  10. Complete all required administrative tasks, ensuring accurate and timely documentation of provided services for billing purposes.

QUALIFICATIONS (Required):
  1. Valid state medical license to practice in Montana or ability to obtain licensure
  2. Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
  3. Board certification or eligibility in Family Medicine.
  4. DEA registration and other necessary certifications for practice.
  5. Strong commitment to patient-centered care and community health.
  6. Excellent communication, community leadership and interpersonal skills.
  7. Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
  8. Experience in rural healthcare settings preferred.
