SUMMARY:
We aim to continue the growth of the first and only residency on the Island. Open since 2014, we have recently expanded to 6-6-6. As an unopposed program, we serve a highly diverse, interesting, and rewarding patient population. Exemplifying interdisciplinary care, our clinic partners with faculty and trainees from pharmacy, behavioral health and advanced practice nursing. Additionally, we train learners from both Hilo and O`ahu-based training programs, including medical students from the John A. Burns School of Medicine and A.T. Still University. We are one of only twenty-eight programs offering Lifestyle Medicine Curriculum and board eligibility. To adequately prepare our graduates to practice, all faculty candidates should practice full-spectrum Family Medicine, including inpatient care of children and adults.
LICENSURE: Unrestricted license to practice in the State of Hawai'i.

Medical Examination Requirement
Offers of employment will be contingent on successfully passing a pre-employment examination, which includes drug screen and other regulatory medical requirements such as, but not limited to, a tuberculosis (TB) screen. The cost for drug screening and blood draw for QuantiFERON and Titers, shall be borne by the Hawaii Health Systems Corporation.
