Atlantic Health System is Seeking a Women’s Health Family Medicine Faculty Physician for a Great Opportunity in Northern New Jersey
Atlantic Health System, one of the largest non-profit healthcare networks in New Jersey, is seeking a fellowship trained Women’s Health Family Medicine Faculty Physician (prenatal care required) or an OB fellowship trained Family Physician to join our eight-member physician faculty at the Overlook Family Medicine Residency Program. We welcome passionate and dedicated physicians with a strong background in Women's Health or Obstetrics to apply for this exciting opportunity to join our team.
Responsibilities:Our program just celebrated its 50th anniversary and trains 21 residents, with an active medical student teaching track. Our outpatient clinical site is a designated Primary Care Medical Home by The Joint Commission. Our residents and faculty work with an interdisciplinary collaborative team that includes a behavioral scientist, diabetic educator, social worker, and clinical pharmacist, as well as clinical pharmacy, nutrition, and social work students. You will be joining a seasoned faculty with diverse clinical interests including geriatrics, sports medicine, palliative care, global health, office-based procedures and population health. As a faculty member, you will provide clinical care to patients in the outpatient setting, precept residents, and participate in didactic teaching sessions. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to contribute to program development and evaluation, helping us to continually improve and enhance our training program.
This position entails 20% direct clinical care, 65% teaching (including half day of prenatal clinic), and 15% residency program administration. The patient care hours and inpatient responsibilities are reasonable, allowing for a healthy work-life balance. As a family friendly town, Summit, NJ offers a beautiful suburban locale with great schools, weekend access to the beaches or the mountains, and an easy commute to New York City.

Qualifications:
- BC in Family Medicine
- Must be licensed or eligible for licensure in the State of New Jersey
- Fellowship trained in Women's Health or Obstetrics
- 5+ years of experience is preferred
- Must be committed to patient centered care and to the training of residents
- Demonstrated success working individually and as part of a team
