Pay Rate: $22.00 per hour

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Provide customer service to parents and maintain all family fee accounts accurate. The position includes the following responsibilities:
- Receive payments via mail, phone, and walk-ins, apply and post to family accounts according to established procedures. Prepare bank deposits for Fiscal Department. 40%
- Process fee changes, research and follow-up issues related to incorrect billing or payments. 20%
- Review client’s variable schedule attendance sheets and reassess Family Fees according to usage. 15%
- Provide technical assistance to parents. 5%
- Coordinate with Case Management, ISD, and Fiscal departments as required. 7%
- Assist with monthly departmental family fee report. 3%
- Create and maintain files and tracking methods for parent fees and other billing/payment activities. 5%
- Provide assistance to other departments regarding family fee issues. 3%
- Attend system testing sessions relating to Family Fees, identify problems and make recommendations for correction. 2%
Job Specifications
- Minimum Associate’s Degree (or successful completion of at least 60 total college/university units); of which, at least 18 successfully-completed units must be in the field of Psychology, Sociology, Child Development, Social Work, Human Services, Family Studies, or related field (as approved). Bachelor’s Degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
- Related work experience in Child Development, Social Work, Psychology, Human Services, Family Studies, Sociology or related field.
- Strong interpersonal skills; the ability to honor confidentiality, and work sensitively and supportively with participating families.
- Demonstrated proficiency and experience with Windows-based programs and data entry.
- Flexibility, maturity of judgment and ability to work collegially.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to complete projects under tight deadlines, even when there are competing requirements and changes in assignments.
- Experience working with families and children at risk of abuse or neglect, a plus.
- Ability to converse, write and/or translate in Spanish, or Armenian, as well as English strongly preferred in order to convey program information in the native language of the family.
- Automobile, California Driver’s License and auto liability insurance required.
- Ability to maintain cooperative, diplomatic working relationships with co-workers, supervisors, and the public, to work as part of a team, and collaborate with colleagues.
- Ability to maintain all assigned workflow and a high level of customer satisfaction in a fast paced working environment.
