One of the Best Places to Work in the Inland Northwest (2018 -2022) is hiring for a Family Engagement Specialist.
The Family Engagement Specialist is responsible for the Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP), which connects parents in outpatient SUD and Co-Occurring treatment in Spokane County to childcare programs. This allows their children to attend high-quality early learning and out-of-school time programs free of charge while they attend treatment activities. The Family Engagement Specialist develops a child-care plan with the parents to support their treatment goals. The Specialist works with both the parent and the licensed childcare program to keep the child(ren) in a consistently high-quality early learning program so parents can focus on their recovery. In day-to-day work with families, the influence of diversity and culture in the family system is recognized and honored, and all family groupings are accepted. This position is part of our growing Family Services team. This is a fully benefited, full-time position with an hourly rate of $22-25/hr ($45,760-52,000 annually) paid bi-weekly.

How You'll Contribute:

• Works with individual parents in outpatient treatment in SUD & Co-occurring programs to develop a childcare plan.
• Coaches parents in treatment to maintain their childcare plan.
• Markets and recruits licensed childcare provider sites for the CCAP program.
• Collaborates with SCRBH treatment agencies within the SCRBH.
• Responsible for inputting data and reporting using Reliatrax.
• Compiles all monthly reports for the SCRBH.
• Works closely with Early Learning, Family Services, and Recovery and Behavioral Health Services teams to ensure that services are collaborative.
• Recruit qualifying families for the CCAP Program

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree is preferred, or equivalent required, with an emphasis on Social Services or Early Learning. 2 to 5 years of experience in case management or administration of services or customer services is preferred.
• Current valid driver's license and liability insurance. Ability to pass ongoing background checks.
• Experience tracking, managing, and meeting weekly and monthly project goals.
• Proficient in using all Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
• Ability to communicate clearly and work effectively with parents, childcare providers, and supervisors.
• Knowledge and acceptance of the recovery process with adults in SUD treatment.
• Electronic Health Record experience is a plus.
