Responsibilities

This role provides administrative support within the Faculty Support Office and to College of Law faculty including but not limited to:

  • Answering incoming phone calls to the Faculty Support Office;
  • Creating and updating attendance spreadsheets and sign-in sheets;
  • Creating and distributing course photo rosters;
  • E-mailing professors weekly attendance summaries;
  • Creating seating charts and name placards for professors;
  • Collecting textbook information from faculty; ordering desk copies;
  • Maintaining/publishing a complete list of textbooks for students;
  • Replenishing supplies in the faculty lounge and conference/work room;
  • Organizing office supplies and exams storage;
  • Assisting with preparation for faculty meetings;
  • Typing handwritten documents;
  • Editing PowerPoint presentations;
  • Assisting with copying and scanning projects;
  • Preparing mailings;
  • Maintaining the cleanliness of the Faculty Support Lounge and preparing coffee for the faculty lounge;
  • Providing direct assistance to the Faculty Support Program Manager and assisting other Faculty Support Office staff;
  • Perform other duties, as assigned.

Qualifications

A high school diploma or equivalency and one year experience in an educational and/or office setting is required. Post-high school education may substitute for work experience.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Knowledge of standard office equipment, office practices, procedures, and etiquette.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple work assignments.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Possess graphic design skills.

Anticipated Salary Range

$14-$16 per hour, commensurate with education and experience.

This is an OPS/temporary job.

Based on the duties, this position may require completion of a criminal history background check.

Schedule: Works 8am-5pm Monday-Friday in-person, with a 1-hour break for lunch. Ability to work a flexible schedule to include evenings and weekends may be required. Occasional overtime hours may be required and during exam periods.
