Faculty Positions in Medical Oncology - Join Our Growing Team!

Exciting opportunities await at Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey, the state's only NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center, in collaboration with RWJBarnabas Health. Join our rapidly growing institution as we expand oncology care throughout the state. We seek academically driven medical oncologists at Assistant to Professor rank with clinical focus in head/neck, thoracic, or neurological oncology. We welcome candidates with interest in building a clinical practice within a multidisciplinary team and those with clinical research interests, including Phase I Trial development, Tumor Immunology, or Cellular Therapy. Exciting opportunities exists to expand access to clinical trials across the RWJ Barnabas Health system. Academic appointments will be within the esteemed Department of Medicine at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.

Our oncology service line is the largest, most comprehensive academic health care system in New Jersey, with a service area covering nine counties with five million people. Our integrated cancer care model offers access to the most advanced diagnostic and treatment options for adult and pediatric cancer patients, including clinical trials, immunotherapy, proton therapy, precision medicine, CAR T-cell therapy and cardio-oncology. Unique opportunities exist for collaborations between clinical and research programs, including clinical trials research, cancer chemoprevention, clinical and basic pharmacology, and Phase 1 clinical trials.

Directorship opportunities exist for qualified candidates to lead a well-established clinical and research program with a portfolio of first in human to phase 3 clinical trials (industry, cooperative group and investigator initiated trials).

Requirements: Must have MD/DO, ABIM eligible/certified, completed or in the process of completing a 3-year hematology/oncology fellowship, and have active/be eligible for NJ Medical License.
