Job description

THE DEPARTMENT OF BIOCHEMISTRY AND MOLECULAR BIOLOGY(BMB) at the Mayo Clinic, Rochester, Minnesota, announces an open Faculty Position (any rank) in the area of Macromolecular Structure and Design in an exciting and well-funded research environment including access to advanced instrumentation for structural biology (cryo-EM/ET, NMR spectroscopy and X-ray crystallography) in a newly established structural biology facility. The successful candidate will establish an extramurally funded collaborative research and training program involving computational, biochemical, and/or structural approaches to the design or selection of novel proteins, nucleic acids, and their complexes, of relevance to understanding fundamental principles and addressing problems of health and disease. Topics of special interest include the design or selection of therapeutic molecules including proteins, nucleic acids, nanomachines, or nanostructures such as novel enzymes or agents that alter pathological macromolecular aggregation processes.
