Factory Service Technician

Our subsidiary Weishaupt America Inc., located in Atlanta, GA, has an immediate opening for an experienced Factory Service Technician.

Responsibilities:

• Install, repair and service Weishaupt products
• Maintain daily communication to the Service Coordinator to exchange information and facilitate scheduling
• Install Weishaupt burners, if needed, utilizing hand tools and machine tools
• Start-up newly installed Weishaupt burners while checking electrical wiring and functionality of safety devices
• Maintain Weishaupt burners during service visits
• Keep up detailed documentation of service site visits for ease of billing and follow up
• Be responsible for company tools and measuring equipment as well as company car, phone and computer

Qualifications and Skills Required:

• Formal electronics, instrumentation or engineering education
• 3+ years of experience working in the burner boiler industry, or working with industrial equipment in an electrical, maintenance, repair and troubleshooting capacity
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work efficiently within a team of technicians and non-technical employees.

Preferred skills and experience:

• Willingness to travel
• Burner industry experience
• Combustion controls experience
• Superior knowledge of electrical components and function
• Familiarity with different kinds of electrical wiring diagrams
• Excellent verbal, technical writing and documentation skills
• High degree of independence and exceptional work ethic
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Very proficient in the use of computers, email, MS-Office products
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; Professional, proactive demeanor.

Salary: $38.46 - $43.26 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
