Facility Team Member

Schedule needed:

• Monday – OFF
• Tuesday – 430pm – 900pm
• Wednesday – 6pm – 10pm
• Thursday – 530pm – 930pm
• Friday – 1pm – 3pm
• Saturday – OFF *
• Sunday – 8am – 1pm

*May need to work Saturdays as needed based on events

Position Summary:

This position is responsible for the overall maintenance of the Church. This includes janitorial activities, setting up furniture in support of the various church ministry events and other tasks as assigned by performing the essential duties and responsibilities as stated below.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Performs cleaning and sanitizing of all ministry areas assigned, including vacuuming, washing floors, bathrooms and wiping down horizontal surfaces
• Sets up and takes down furniture in support of all ministry events/functions
• Performs a variety of work in the maintenance and repair of buildings and grounds
• Maintains grounds in a clean and orderly manner including setting sprinklers and maintaining watering equipment
• Ensures safety of grounds during winter months, including snow removal and salting of sidewalks and emergency exits
• Activates and deactivates building alarms as required
• Maintains clean, safe and orderly work sites

QUALIFICATIONS:

• A High School Diploma or General Education Degree; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Some computer skills are preferred, especially using electronic mail software (Outlook) and other software when needed
• Effective use of different hand and power tools
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions
• Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions necessary in building maintenance and janitorial work
• Knowledge of cleaning products and basic procedures for cleaning a commercial facility

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.30 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 19 per week

Schedule:

• 4 hour shift
• Day shift
• Evening shift
• Holidays
• Monday to Friday
• Night shift
• Weekends as needed
