Are you an experienced Facility Security Officer looking to take on a part-time role with flexible hours in Santa Barbara, CA?
Acara Solutions is hiring a part-time FSO to work onsite for our client in Goleta, CA. Acara's client creates high-performance motion control components for Military and Industrial applications all over the world. Here's what you'd do:
- Responsible for deploying client's industrial security program initiatives in coordination with the Corporate FSO and branch Senior Management Official (SMO).
- Process personnel security clearances.
- Prepare VARs and provide threat briefings when applicable.
- Maintain and monitor the DISS system of record and NISS facility profile.
- Conduct internal security self-inspections and prepare for and complete annual security assessments with DCSA.
- Prepare and provide specialized briefings and track completion and refresher dates.
- Monitor classified inventory.
- Train personnel on reportable events and ensure compliance, including, but not limited to, SEAD3 reporting.
- Review SCGs and contracts applicable to the contractual scope of work.
- Work closely with internal and external customers to ensure security and compliance and meet NISPOM and related DoD-relevant requirements.
- Process incoming and outgoing shipments. Assist Corporate FSO on particular projects and communicate best practice changes, efficiencies, and continuous improvement opportunities.
- Remain educated with industrial security changes, updates, and threat awareness.
- Work collaboratively with engineers, ISSO, and personnel, and process system access requests.
Here's what you'd get:
Pay: Up to $70/hr. based on experience
Hours: Part Time, approx. 20 hours per week/2 days per week.

Length: Contract, with potential to turn into permanent role with increased hours as desired
