POSITION SUMMARY:

This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. Candidate ensures the Y is attractive and clean by completing all duties listed on the daily schedule, responds to special cleaning requests & emergencies. Maintains all areas of the Y with primary focus on bathrooms, locker rooms and common spaces. Female preferred, as they will need to be in the women's locker room/bathroom. This job is fully on-site, not remote.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Perform general restroom & locker room cleaning, dusting, trash removal, glass and mirrors, floors, etc.
• Replace soap, paper products and other supplies
• Reports all needed repairs to Facilities Director
• Ensures YMCA is safe & secure and respond to emergencies

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Six months or more of related experience preferred
• Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, checklists, and other documents
• Knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment
• Understanding of cleaning chemicals, and their safe, efficient use

Hours: Weekend Saturday/Sunday
