Facilities Technician
Duties:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on building systems and equipment
- Conduct inspections to identify potential issues and address them promptly
- Respond to work orders and service requests in a timely manner
- Troubleshoot and resolve facility-related problems
- Coordinate with external contractors for specialized repairs or installations
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS)
- Fabricate or modify components as needed for repairs or improvements
- Assist in the development and implementation of preventive maintenance programs
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment
Skills:
- Strong technical skills in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general building maintenance
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
- Proficient in using hand and power tools
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
- Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Good communication skills to interact with team members and external contractors
- Leadership qualities to supervise and coordinate work activities
