Position: Facilities Technician I or II
The Facilities Technician, in conjunction with the Facilities Maintenance Manager, is responsible for assisting with the building/equipment maintenance and repairs.
Responsibilities:
- Attend to all assigned work orders, including but not limited to painting, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, construction and flooring.
- Troubleshoot, evaluate, and make recommendations during regular inspections.
- Perform routine and non-routine equipment maintenance, modification, and repairs on a timely basis.
- Document repairs, adjustments, and replacement of equipment per SOP’s and cGMP regulations.
- Complete and coordinate with department supervisors all repairs, as necessary, to offset downtime and production delays.
- Assist maintenance contractors in troubleshooting of equipment.
- Order parts and components for repairs as needed.
- Assist with the organization and inventory of spare parts.
- Maintain a clean and well-organized workspace.
- Provide after-hours, on-call support including holidays.
- Must follow all safety rules and ensure compliance.
- Perform other such duties as may be assigned to you.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma/GED or local equivalent
- 2 or more years of storing and material handling or related experience. GMP experience preferred.
- Willingness to work off-shifts and overtime if needed
- Proficient in basic mathematics
- Proficient with basic hand tools
- Basic computer skills and software tools to include, but not limited to, Windows, Outlook & Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to communicate, receive, and understand instructions regarding duties to be performed.
- Team player who is accountable for team's success delivering business targets and takes responsibility for decisions and outcomes.
- Ability to communicate well and work with others.
- Able to adjust to workload in a fast-paced environment
- Able to work independently with little or no supervision of day-to-day tasks
- Ability to lift up to 70 pounds to waist-height and up to 40 pounds to shoulder-height
- Minimal travel (<10%) may be required between sites
