Facilities intern who gathers data, develops new or modified plans and participates in other varied facilities tasks. May be responsible for data collection and  modifications to procedures for review by senior Facilities team members to enhance Facilities team performance. This position is full-time, Monday-Friday, and will run May/June-August; it is only eligible for current students with a graduation date past August 2024.

Primary Responsibilities:

Plans, designs, and reconfigures equipment, machinery, buildings, and structures to ensure the optimal utilization of the organization's facilities. Assesses and evaluates the physical space requirements of the organization and recommends plans to meet needs. Gathers and reviews data concerning facility or equipment specifications, company or government restrictions, required completion date, and construction feasibility. Reviews design costs including equipment, installation, labor, materials, preparation, and other related costs. Ensures proper functioning of facilities through ongoing inspection and maintenance. Conducts machine inventories and catalogues equipoment.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.

  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
