Responsibilities
Ready to make an impact? Peraton is seeking an experienced Facilities Plannerto work on the Digital Transformation, Acquisition, Modernization, and Modification (DTAMM) program. Become part of our team where we will partner with the United States Space Force (USSF) to employ modernization and digital transformation efforts that enable the acceleration of a national launch cadence across the Eastern Range (ER) and Western Range (WR).
The Space Force is focused on developing a scalable system capable of responding to the demands of National Security Space Agencies' objectives and DoD's Test and Evaluation (T&E) needs as well as ensuring the Nation's ability to access space. The Range Architectural line of effort will be enabled through innovative employment of cloud technologies, software development services, AI/ML, hardware modernization, and cyber security strategies. These efforts will improve data acquisition, processing, and distribution while enhancing collaboration between government and commercial launch partners. Prototypes and emerging technologies will be advanced into the LTRS architecture and incrementally delivered as operational capabilities, supporting the objectives of increased launch capacity and tempo for our nations ER and WR spaceports. Our goal is to develop a team that is innovative, professional, and eager to apply their expertise to support the mission.
The Facilities Planner will be responsible for the following but not limited to:
  • Performs planning, coordination, implementation and maintenance activities related to program offices and warehouse/manufacturing facilities supporting the DTAMM program in California and Florida (complementary positions)
  • Prepares and coordinates building layout and modification drawings and specifications; identify, qualify and coordinate with commercial contractors and suppliers to perform the work within schedule and budget constraints
  • Coordinate with local building department authorities and as necessary Space Force Civil Engineering to obtain permits, utilities surveys, hazardous material surveys and historical office clearance
  • Interfaces with Peraton corporate facilities personnel and resources and ensures compliance with federal/state/local laws and regulations as required by contract
  • Assignments may include participating in diverse technical teams implementing technical direction tasks that affect existing or new Space Force instrumentation facilities
  • May be required to travel to remote field sites

Qualifications
Required Experience
  • Bachelor's degree and five (5+) years' relevant professional experience; OR Master's degree and three (3+) years relevant professional experience. Additional years of experience (9+) may be considered in lieu of a degree
  • Demonstrated experience designing and implementing building and facility new construction and modification
  • Position requires an active Secret security clearance

Desired Experience
  • Experienced with AutoCad
  • Understanding of lightning and seismic mitigation techniques

Target Salary Range
$66,000 - $106,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
