Position Overview
Provide Part-Time/On-Call support to the day shift operation of the loading dock and the security desk at the Product Support Facility (PSF) on Peterson Space Force Base, (PSFB), CO. The loading dock operates from 0730-1600, Monday-Friday, excluding federal holidays; the security desk operates 24/7/365.
Primary Loading Dock Responsibilities
- Handle and track material arriving and departing the PSF.
- Receive and sign for shipments from various sources.
- Log shipments and notify addressee for pickups.
- Arrange and monitor items stored in dock area.
- Monitor dock area for safety concerns and correct any discrepancies; reporting those requiring elevation to the Government personnel.
- Clean dock area and outside dock parking area.
- Distribute and monitor printer cartridges.
- Track printer toner usage and stocking levels to assure adequate stock on hand.
- Staff the dock and maintain equipment inventory.
Primary Loading Dock Responsibilities
- Provide operational security support and monitor physical security
- Account for personnel who are authorized entry into building
- Maintain a safe and secure facility at all times by performing random ID verification of permanent employees, 100% ID verification of visitors and random baggage searches of all personnel entering the facility
- Conduct interior and exterior perimeter walks throughout each shift verifying the security of all exterior doors and gates
- Monitor the temperature alarm system(s) verify the operation of the cooling systems ensuring Internally Controlled Areas (ICA’s) are properly temperature controlled
- Utilize coded alarm systems, video surveillance equipment, and entry control system equipment to ensure only authorized personnel gain access to the facility
- Confirm all personnel entering the facility are authorized to do so by verifying a current Visit Authorization Request (VAR) is in place or personnel possess appropriate access badges
- Enter data, query visit control databases and provide assistance in the location of assigned personnel through the use of automated systems and applications
Minimum Qualifications
Must have high school diploma
Preferred Qualifications
Facility, security, shipping/receiving, warehouse, and customer service experience
Education/Experience
Must have minimum 2-years applicable experience
Clearance Requirement
Must have current secret clearance, or have had an active clearance within the last two years
