AddressWe are looking for a hard-working, dependable Facilities Maintenance Worker to join our Maintenance team. In this role, your main task is to assist with maintenance around the property, ensuring our building remains safe and functional. You may be asked to perform basic repairs on our HVAC, Plumbing and Electrical systems, so we are looking for someone with some experience in these areas. You may also assist with carpentry and painting tasks, landscaping, and deep cleaning tasks.
Shift: 1st Shift: 8am to 4pm
Pay: $22-27/hr based on skills
Facilities Maintenance Worker Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance, repairs, and routine building inspections to identify possible issues (Doors, Stairwells, Exterior lighting)
- Inspect, PM and repair HVAC systems
- Inspect and repair plumbing issues throughout the facility
- Replace lighting fixtures, ballasts, and bulbs throughout facility
- Painting and repairing drywall as needed
- Inspect, PM and routine maintenance of Boiler (chemical makeup)
- Maintain a clean and safe workplace
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
- Basic computer skills
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Age: 18 years or older
- Education: High school diploma or GED certificate (preferred)
- Safety: Ensuring the complete physical safety of oneself and one’s co-workers at all times without exception
- Inspect machinery: Knowledge of check machine equipment for proper performance and detect faults and malfunctions. Diagnose malfunctions using testing equipment to determine the required repair.
- Write technical reports: Experience with compose technical customer reports understandable for people without technical background.
- Perform machine maintenance: Familiarity with perform regular maintenance, possibly including corrections and alterations, on a machine or machine tool to ensure it remains in a proper productive state.
- Time Management: Showing up on time, reliably completing tasks by the deadline, and adapting to changes in deadlines and priorities with minimal supervision.
- Comprehension: Ability to read, write, comprehend, follow verbal and written instructions and possess basic mathematical skills.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish preferred
- Coordination: Working well with others to meet team goals and adjusting to important changes
Physical Requirements for production positions regularly include:
- Ability to regularly lift items that are 50-100 lbs.
- Frequent movement including walking, standing, bending/stooping, turning, twisting, pushing, pulling, raising arms, lifting, climbing and other active movements
- Performing duties while wearing personal protective equipment
- Working across temperature zones that may include cold and/or hot environments for extended periods and may include work in environments where dust is present
- Shift schedules that include days, nights, and weekends, some holidays and periodic overtime
- General construction or prior Facilities Maintenance (a plus)
- Specialized experience with Plumbing, Electricity, or HVAC maintenance (a plus)
- Familiarity with common cleaning products and equipment
- Mechanical skills
