Job Description
What will you do?
Responsible for maintaining uninterrupted quality utility services from the Power Plant to the Cincinnati Site. Responsible for the operation and monitoring of all systems and equipment located in the Power Plant. These include:
Steam (Water and fire tube boilers -150 PSI)
Compressed air (centrifugal and oil free screw compressors)
Nitrogen (membrane generators)
Softened water (softeners)
Purified water (mixed bed deionizers and RO/EDI system)
Reverse osmosis for boiler make-up
Large refrigeration chillers (800 ton+)
pH neutralization
Standby generator
Thermal Oxidizers
Responsibilities also include daily record keeping, monitoring (including equipment reporting through the Building Automation System (Client)), testing of system components, chemical treatment of water systems
Performing routine preventative maintenance
Following all safety, environmental and GMP procedures required to ensure uninterrupted quality utility services.
How will you get here?
Education:
Must possess an Ohio 3rd Class Stationary Engineers license or High Pressure Boilers License
(Hours of experience and ability to obtain a license within 6 months may be considered)
High school diploma or equivalent
Experience
Basic mechanical aptitude and computer (PC and Client workstation) knowledge, including effective use of Microsoft Excel, Outlook and internet functions.
Strong understanding of all Power Plant systems and associated equipment mentioned above.
Strong attention to detail, and strong interpersonal, communication, and documentation skills.
Experience in managing and working with contractors a plus.
Preferred experience, skills & abilities
Ability to work scheduled shift as well as rotating schedule
The normally scheduled shifts are:
Day shift- works 7a-3p on a 6 on 2 off schedule.
Second Shift- works 3p-11p on a 6 on 2 off schedule.
Third shift- works 11p-7a on a 6 on 2 off schedule.
Rotating Schedule- works 2 day shift, 2 second shift and 2 third shifts
then two days off.
Relief shift-rotates between all four of the above schedules while those
people work their maintenance shift*
*maintenance shift is when operator works Monday-Friday doing
preventative maintenance, general clean up, tower and chiller
cleaning etc. This shift is rotated monthly.
