Short-Term Seasonal Maintenance Workers for the 2024 season.

2024 Hiring Range: $16.00 to $22.00 per hour
Work Schedule
- Work hours are typically from 6:30 A.M. to 2:30 P.M. Monday through Friday
Position Summary and Job Duties
- Mow and maintain lawns
- Operate all vehicles and equipment as assigned
- Perform general maintenance of buildings, grounds, flower beds, athletic fields, parkways
- Assist in forestry operations
- Perform other duties as required or assigned
Success Factors
- Knowledge of general maintenance work with the most efficient utilization of equipment
- Knowledge of safety precautions and procedures applicable to maintenance equipment
- Skill in the use of small hand tools and cleaning equipment
- Skill in performing outdoor semi-skilled and skilled tasks related to grounds and FACILITIES MAINTENANCE
- Ability to accept, understand, and follow written and/or verbal instruction
- Ability to work with limited oversight on projects and daily assignments
- Ability to work independently to meet deadlines
- Ability to work effectively and harmoniously with the public, employees, and others
- Ability to work respectfully in a diverse and inclusive environment
Job Requirements, Education, Training, and Experience
- Must be at least 16 years old at time of application
- Must possess a valid driver's license at time of hire and maintain during incumbency, with acceptable driving record

- Requires full range of physical movement - bending, reaching, lifting, etc.
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds

- Ability to work outside in any weather conditions, including temperature extremes
