Essential Job Functions:
- Complete service requests and repairs in a timely manner
- Assist with vendor management and other duties
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections for equipment
- Inspects Determines appropriate materials, supplies and equipment.
- Must be knowledgeable in safe use and maintenance of hand tools, power towels, and mechanical equipment
- Previous experience with painting, entry level carpentry, and basic plumbing
- Coordinate special projects as directed
- Replaces filters and cleans air conditioning, in addition to other preventative maintenance tasks
- Repairing and treating structures such as showers, sinks, appliances, doors/cabinets, walls and building exteriors
- Complete all state and agency required documentation in accordance with stated guidelines and deadlines.
- Maintains positive, professional working relationships
- Attend and actively participate in all scheduled meetings
- Check, and respond to emails daily to maintain proper communication
- Staff will be required to utilize agency electronic systems for communication, time and attendance, progress notes, incident report filing, etc.
- Treat everyone with dignity and respect at all times
- All other duties that may be requested by Supervisor
Education:
High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED)
Other:
- Maintenance Technician must maintain a professional and courteous manner with residents, visitors, contractors and fellow employees.
- One must have the ability to follow oral and written instructions and be able to maintain effective and cooperative working relationships.
Physical Requirements:
Person must be able to walk, stand, and sit for up to 8 hours. Person must have the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. or more based on assigned supported person (using health and safety lifting / turning techniques or assistive devices).
Person must be able to successfully demonstrate all Mandt Systems training physical interventions and techniques, to include assisting supported person to standing, providing assistance with ambulation, physical releases, and physical restraints.
