Caterpillar is seeking a Facilities Engineering Manager in Wamego, KS. In this role, you will supervise Facilities Engineering and maintenance activities for a manufacturing plant or site.

What you can look forward to doing in this role:

• Collaborates with engineers, partners and suppliers to meet business goals in accordance with the sustainable use of facilities and budget demands.
• Manages and executes projects to maintain and update facilities, machinery, and equipment.
• Leads a third-party facility maintenance team to ensure quality performance.
• Evaluates the operation's effectiveness with current utilities and equipment; provides appropriate solutions to challenges and risks.
• Oversees inspections, repairs and updates of facilities and relevant operational activities; maintains order at the facility.
• Acts as the Facility Security Manager, overseeing and updating site security plans.

A successful candidate in this role will showcase their skills and have:

• A working knowledge in Budgeting : Knowledge of organization's budget process; ability to apply policies and practices for planning and administering a budget.
• A working knowledge in Problem Solving : Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.
• A working knowledge in Manufacturing Equipment : Knowledge of the electrical, mechanical and logistics equipment used in manufacturing; ability to safely operate, maintain, update and store them.

• Extensive experience in Plant Facilities Management : Knowledge of processes, methodologies and techniques used to manage plant facilities; ability to handle the full spectrum of activities for managing and maintaining physical facilities and infrastructure.

Top Candidates for this position may also have:

• Work experience across multiple departments (i.e., fabrication, welding, engineering, supply chain, quality, etc.)
• Previous work tools experience
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing/Six Sigma.

The primary location for this position is Wamego, KS.
