Job Description:
Client is seeking a vibrant and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Concierge. As a Concierge, you will be responsible for providing exceptional personal services to guests, patrons, tenants, or employees, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience.
Responsibilities:
- Assist guests, patrons, tenants, or employees with various personal services including but not limited to making dinner reservations, booking tour arrangements, and providing recommendations for local events and attractions.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of local restaurants, entertainment venues, and cultural events to offer informed suggestions and recommendations.
- Coordinate transportation arrangements for guests, patrons, or employees, including taxi services, car rentals, or arranging for private drivers as needed.
- Handle inquiries and requests promptly and courteously, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Maintain a professional and welcoming demeanor at all times, embodying the values of hospitality and customer service.
- Assist with special requests or arrangements such as gift deliveries, floral arrangements, or other personalized services.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the concierge desk area, ensuring a tidy and presentable environment for guests.
- Collaborate with other departments within the organization to fulfill guest or client needs effectively.
- Stay informed about current events, cultural trends, and local attractions to provide relevant and timely information to guests.
- Handle guest complaints or concerns with diplomacy and tact, striving to resolve issues promptly and to the satisfaction of the guest.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a customer service role, preferably in a hospitality or luxury service environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of New York City and its attractions, restaurants, and entertainment venues preferred.
- Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure, with a proactive and solution-oriented approach to problem-solving.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with reservation systems or concierge software is a plus.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certification in hospitality or related field preferred.
