Position Overview: Facilities Breakroom Associate - Temp is responsible for cleaning the breakroom tables and counter tops after each break. They also are responsible for making coffee; filling the napkin holders, salt and pepper shakers and keeping the refrigerators clean inside and out. As meetings are scheduled breakroom attendants supply the requested beverages. The Facilities Breakroom Associate - Temp follows the daily work schedule for the assigned area. It may include cleaning bathrooms, vacuuming, sweep floors, empty/clean wastebaskets and wipe down work areas.
This is considered an essential onsite role, which requires regular onsite attendance.
Schedule: Monday-Friday 1:30pm-10pm
Responsibilities:
• Preparing coffee/hot water, keeping carafes full
• Keep break room areas neat and clean throughout the day
• Daily wiping down of microwaves, refrigerators and freezers
• Daily restocking of supplies (i.e. napkins), cleaning/filling salt and pepper shakers etc.
• Dishwashing by hand (dishes, cup holders, utensils etc.)
• Delivering beverages or other items to meeting rooms as necessary
• Assisting with corporate wide vendor or employer appreciation days as necessary
• Setting up, breaking down and hand washing dishes after scheduled luncheons or dinners as necessary
• Straightening/cleaning of satellite break rooms as necessary
• Coverage for scheduled vacations or time off of co-workers as needed
• Shared Duty: Thorough cleaning of all appliances on a weekly basis
• Shared Duty: Thorough cleaning of all break room surfaces on a monthly basis
• Participates in staff meetings, training and in-services and staff development programs as required by the Manager, Corporate Security and Internal Retail Services
• Clean, dust, vacuum, and wash walls, furniture, ceilings, bathrooms, meeting rooms, windows, doors, and associated equipment and fixtures
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and strip all floor surfaces
• Collect trash throughout the facility and transport to proper location
• Replenish supplies such as soap, paper towels, etc.
• Perform additional cleaning services as required
• Performs other incidental and related duties as required and assigned
Additional Work Experience:
• Preferred candidate has a base understanding of the various functions of DigiKey and the industry DigiKey operates in
• Preferred candidate has base knowledge of DigiKey brand and it's principles
• Preferred candidate has previous customer service, event coordination or similiar experience

Physical Requirements:
• Able to twist or bend and occasionally climb stairs
• Able to reach with hands and arms above shoulder level
• Spend the majority of working hours walking/standing on concrete
• Regularly lift up to 35 lbs. and occasionally lift up to 50lbs from floor to shoulder height
• Generally, spend the workday performing repetitive motions that involve or affect the hands, head, and other parts of your body
