JOB SUMMARY
The Facilities & Safety Supervisor is responsible for managing all activities related to general maintenance for assigned machine equipment and facilities, including plumbing, electrical, heating and cooling and other building systems. The Facilities & Safety Supervisor develops and implements all safety programs.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Maintains and services Bridgeports, Boring Mills, Grinders, Lathes, CNC machines and various other equipment, including Forklifts, Scissor Lifts, Cranes, and Compressors, as needed.
  • Facilitates and or maintains any Electrical and Plumbing requirements within each facility.
  • Documents and maintains logs for maintenance tasks including Backflow Prevention, Emergency Lighting, Fire Extinguisher Inspections, Sprinkler Tests, etc.
  • Develop and maintain a work order system on PMDb to track and prioritize requests for maintenance.
  • Records of maintenance, along with vendor contacts must be established and maintained within the server (PMDb).
  • Maintain a preventative maintenance plan within the ISO guidelines.
  • Troubleshoots mechanical and electrical problems.
  • Coordinates building maintenance services such as lawn service and snow removal.
  • Inspects machinery, equipment and working conditions with OSHA regulations.
  • Develops and implements safety programs that are meant to prevent injuries, fires, or other workplace accidents.
  • Schedules and oversees workplace inspections that identify and address potential safety hazards.
  • Develops, delivers, and tracks participation in safety training programs educating employees on safe working practices, appropriate equipment operation, and emergency procedures.
  • Investigates incidents or accidents, gathers and analyzes statistics, and makes recommendations for improvements.
  • Prepares and submits accident reports in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements.

OTHER DUTIES
  • Create and submit Purchase Orders with Owner's approval.
  • Observe safety procedures.
  • Any other task assigned by management within scope of the position, federal and state regulations.

SUPERVISORY DUTIES
  • Responsible for supervising the workflow and training when needed.
  • Responsible for giving direction and feedback about what needs improvement.
  • Responsible for team performance expectations.
  • Accomplishes department objectives.
  • Recruits, selects, orientates, develops and trains new and current employees.
  • Coaches, counsels, and disciplines employees, as needed.
  • Implements and enforces policies, and procedures.
  • Completes operations by developing schedules, assigning and monitoring work, gathering resources, implementing productivity standards, resolving operations problems, maintaining reference manuals, and implementing new procedures.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Maintains safe and healthy work environment by establishing and enforcing organization standards and adhering to legal regulations.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 5-10 years relevant work experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience servicing and repairing manufacturing machines/equipment, emphasis on CNC machine/equipment.
  • Working knowledge of HVAC and hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.
  • Basic Plumbing knowledge
  • General knowledge of building maintenance
  • General knowledge of safety compliance and OSHA
  • Experience leading or supervising

  • Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Work environment is primarily performed indoors around moving mechanical parts at a moderate noise level.
  • Wear safety equipment, including proper PPE.
