Description
The Publix Real Estate Assets Team oversees the company’s Real Estate portfolio including leasing and property management. Within the department, the Facilities and Real Estate Systems Administrator provides support of existing technology and delivery of new technology projects, tests new and existing technology, and runs data analysis and reporting. Ideal candidates have knowledge of data analysis principles with the ability to learn quickly and apply the knowledge given. Additionally, they possess analytical and logical thinking skills, and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
In Publix’s corporate offices, we value in-person interactions, similar to those our store associates have with customers. Many of Publix’s corporate offices offer work from home up to two days a week. Each business area implements their policy differently and should be discussed during interviews.
What you’ll do
- Facilitate and/or participate on cross-functional project teams to design, develop, and implement applications and technology solutions
- Report output from testing including integrity, scripting, defects, and failure procedures
- Capture data requirements and specifications for development of ad-hoc and customized reporting
- Educate business area end-users on all system and technology solutions and document knowledge
- Articles and strategies to teach and record information
- Partner with business areas to provide first-level support of incidents, problems, planned outages, and known errors
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, database design or administration, or other analytical discipline, or equivalent experience
- At least four years of experience supporting a variety of software applications
- Knowledge of Information Technology (IT) systems and infrastructure, processes, services and organizational structure within Facilities and Real Estate departments
- Experience using root cause analysis methodology
- Conceptual understanding of and practical knowledge of relational database system design and administration
- Advanced ability to write and run data queries
- Ability to plan, organize, and document complex system design activities
- Ability to configure applications and to be consistent with established policies/procedures and/or align policies/procedures to application solutions
- Ability to establish and maintain cooperation, understanding, trust and credibility
- Perform multiple tasks concurrently and respond to emergency situations effectively
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and project certification in computer science, information technology, database design, or administration, or other analytical discipline
- Six or more years of experience supporting a variety of software applications
- Basic skills with Office 365 suite, including PowerApps and PowerAutomate
- Advanced skills with Microsoft Access and Excel

Year End Bonus
To reward associates for their contributions to the company for the calendar year, Publix provides a Holiday Bonus in November. In the first year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to 15 hours of pay, and in the second year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to one week’s pay if associate remains employed through issue date of the bonus check. In subsequent years, the bonus is equal to two weeks’ pay.
