Fabricator / Mechanical Assembler

1st Shift

Aegis Worldwide is seeking a Mechanical Fabricator.  This person will be working with extrusion and hand-welding machinery. This is a first-shift opportunity from 6:30-3:00 p.m. Monday-Friday. 

This individual will be responsible for the assembly and fabrication of equipment. Sixty percent of the job will include the physical assembly of the system by flowing technical drawings of the equipment. When the machine is complete, this person will then validate that the mechanical functions of the machine work properly. This individual will also be involved with the fabrication of the systems, which will make up about 40 percent of the role. The individual will provide fabrication services on the shop floor such as drilling, grinding, and cutting of metal via power tools. The physical assembly and fabrication of the machines will be most of this position’s responsibilities.

Ideal Experience

• 3+ years of experience in mechanical assembly and fabrication experience.
• Experience or willingness to learn pipefitting or working with equipment that has piping and instrumentation
• Ability to read spec drawings, mechanical blueprints, and schematic diagrams.
• Experience using fabrication tools such as grinders, saws, drills, and Dremel tools.
• Ability to be on their feet for most of the day and the ability to lift 50 lbs.
