AMI specializes in machining and welding, with a focus on bending and welding tube assemblies for jet engines and airframes. AMI also handles metal details for AWI’s exhaust and engine mount business.

Hartzell Aerospace Welding is looking for an eager Fabricator to support our growing business.
Key Deliverables / Requirements of the Position:
Hartzell Aerospace Welding seeks a Fabricator with a background in assembly and manufacturing to perform the following
- Perform various metal assembly functions such as: riveting, drilling, countersinking, grinding, shearing, fabricating, etc.
- Sand and deburr metal parts
- Utilize parts washers to clean and dry piece parts and small tubular assemblies
- Other manufacturing responsibilities as assigned.
Required Education and Experience:
- HS Diploma or GED required
- Able to work efficiently with minimal supervision
- Able to stand or sit for long periods at a time
- Willing and able to follow both verbal and written work instructions
- Physically able to lift, carry and move up to 50lbs
- General manufacturing assembly and fabrication experience is preferred
Required Technical Competencies
- Mechanical Aptitude – demonstrated examples (on the job or outside of work) showing competency to work with hands. Might include items such as body work skills, crate repair, general wrenching ability, construction work, etc.
- Manual Dexterity – Ability to perform a job that requires detailed handwork
- Experience with Process Standards – Demonstrated ability to read, understand and execute to written instruction
- Computer Skills – experience with entering and retrieving data from a computer
