Job Description
The Fabrication Supervisor is responsible for training, directing, assisting, and ensuring direct reports are working to maximize manufacturing efficiency. Additional responsibilities include planning, directing, and managing the fabrication of various metal parts and overseeing work to maintain processes, product quality, and job priority.
Requirements:Duties and Responsibilities:
· Schedule department product utilizing priority dispatch
· Support workers in the operations of the fab department
· Train and assist employees in the operation of equipment
· Verify parts are being built to customer and quality specifications
· Proficient in MRP system
· Ensure accurate data entry is completed into the ETP system
· Direct the material handler for department
· Communicate with other departments to ensure that adequate materials are available
· Communicate departmental needs to manager
· Keep inventory of expendable tooling used in the department ordering as needed
· Keep manager advised of work status, workload, issues, and progress as related to department performance
· Maintain production records
· Participate in employee reviews and disciplinary actions
· Create and enforce a safe and efficient work environment
· Keep department clean and organized
· Responsible for continuous improvements, including but not limited to product, quality control and processes
Other Duties and Responsibilities:
· Will be required to cross-train as back-up in other areas of manufacturing plant
· Ability to effectively use tools and fab equipment, including but not limited to saw, drill, press brake, shear, iron worker, laser, and plasma table
· Ability to read product prints
· Excellent verbal communication skills, including two-way interaction with team.
· Ability to carry out detailed written or verbal instructions
· Basic math skills
· Other duties as assigned
Education/Experience:
· High school diploma or GED
· 4+ years related work experience
Training Requirements:
· General Safety
· Forklift training course
· Others as required

Working Conditions:
· Work in manufacturing environment
· Exposed to any number of elements
· May require outdoor work
· May work at different workstations as production needs require, or shifts from one station to another, during the production process
Personal Protective Equipment:
· The use of safety glass, safety shoes, gloves and face shields are required
· Hearing protection as needed
· Other PPE as required
