Job description

Our facility located in Louisville, KY is in search of multiple Assemblers to piece together parts for rail signaling and communications equipment. Working hours are 7:00am-3:30pm, Monday-Friday.

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

  • Attaching wires between individual component leads and other components, connectors, terminals, and contact points.
  • Making electrical wire terminations - cut wire to specified lengths and routes, combs, twists, wraps, ties, and attaches wire to terminal points.
  • Disassembling, modifying, reworking, refurbishing, reassembling as the need arises.
  • Performing incoming, raw material, and final manufacturing inspection and audits of quality control programs
  • Working from production blueprints, wiring diagrams, parts lists, wire lists, sketches, bills of materials, and verbal instructions to produce electrical or Electro-Mechanical sub-assemblies

Required Knowledge/Skills/Education:

  • Often required to use fine motor skills, assembling some small parts with excellent dexterity.
  • Capacity to sit or stand at a workstation for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Using hand and power shop tools. Certification of some tools and equipment may be required, such as crane and forklift operations.
  • Interacting with and display professional conduct with customers and coworkers
  • Meeting internal Company standards for quality and workmanship.
  • Performing 5S activities and maintaining equipment in accurate working order, and improve work area cleanliness
  • Executing work safely and healthily ensuring deviations to standard work instructions that will lead to quality, efficiency, or safety problems are immediately identified.
  • May be demanded to work overtime, weekends, and different shifts as vital to meet business-critical requirements.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Cross-training will be required to cover business needs.
