The Manufacturing Fabrication Production Leader

  • Position leads the entire 2nd Shift team, including Fabrication, Assembly and Materials, and is responsible for ensuring that all of 2nd Shift operations meet safety, quality, and productivity requirements.  

  • This position reports to the Fabrication Department Manager with dotted lines to the Materials Department Leader and Assembly Department Leader. 

  • Is responsible for keeping Fabrication Department Manager apprised of activity on 2nd Shift as well as other leaders where appropriate.

 


Relative Work Experience: 4-8 years relative work experience, including fabrication equipment knowledge (CO2 Laser, CNC punch, press brakes, welding (MIG & TIG), powder coating, etc.).  Demonstrated successful experience leading and directing the work of others.  Leadership in a 2nd or 3rd shift operation preferred.  2 or more years of leadership experience required.

Education:  High school diploma or GED required.  Bachelor’s degree in operations field preferred.

Certifications / Licenses:  None required.

Computer Systems / Software:  None.

Specialized Training:  Knowledge of FDA and GMP procedures, six sigma, lean manufacturing preferred

  • Proactively anticipates, manages and constructively resolves conflicts and disagreements, identifies ways conflict can lead to positive change and takes appropriate action to address conflicts.
  • Ability to hold team members accountable and drive accountability of team members.
  • Ability to provide specific, ongoing, timely, direct performance feedback to team members.
