Job Summary:
The engine program that powers the F-35 has a high visibility position for a motivated, self-starting F135 Systems Customer Support Engineer. As part of Military Customer Support & Services, you will support customers in the field across three different US military services and multiple international customers. This role will be supporting the sustainment of the F135 propulsion system. The selected candidate will be working directly with the F-35 Joint Program Office (JPO), Pratt & Whitney Field Service Engineers (FSE) and Lockheed Martin (LM) to address F135 field issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform Operational Readiness Evaluation (ORE) software testing with Joint Program Office (JPO) and Lockheed Martin
- Support Software Change Reviews for F135 Engine Software and F135 Off Board Prognostic Health Management (OBPHM)
- Support Engine Software Engineering Changes
- Coordinate F135 Depot Test Cell software changes and validation/verification for Common Data Acquisition System (CDAS), Joint Strike Fighter Airframe Communications Simulator (JACS) and Depot OBPHM
- Draft Service Test Letters for new Engine Software
- 10-15% travel required
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of experience in engineering, military engines sustainment or software development; or an advanced degree.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with engine systems operation, software development processes
- Good communication skills to work in a team environment
- U.S. Military Aircraft/Engine Maintenance or equivalent civilian training
- F135 Sustainment experience is desired
- Project management experience
