Job description

The Extrusion Area Manager oversees all aspects of the extrusion process within the facility. This role is pivotal in ensuring operational excellence, maintaining quality standards, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

  • Lead and supervise a team of extrusion employees and equipment on a 24/5 schedule.
  • Provide daily coaching, training, and performance feedback to ensure safety, quality, and productivity goals are met.
  • Manage production scheduling to ensure on-time delivery of products.
  • Collaborate with various departments to address vendor issues and customer concerns while adhering to company standards, including investigation and corrective actions.
  • Responsible for communication of all Employee Health & Safety and Production alerts.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains.
  • Partner with Human Resources to address employee issues and attendance/reporting.
  • Ensure adherence to company standards for safety, health, and quality.
  • Monitor cleanliness and organization of extrusion department.
  • High School Diploma
  • 10+ years supervisory experience in a manufacturing setting
  • Experience in rubber and/or thermoplastics extrusion a must
  • ISO9001:2015 experience (5 years min.)
  • Demonstrated success in people management
  • Ability to effectively communicate
