Student Health Services is seeking a licensed Medical Radiographer to perform diagnostic radiologic exams in the absence of staff radiographer.
Additional InformationJob Duties may include:
Independently performs routine radiologic exams and electrocardiograms
Communicating with medical and clinical staff at Student Health Services
Reviewing/faxing radiology reports
Limited documentation and scheduling within Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
Interpreting outside radiology orders and diagnosis codes
$24.50 per hour
Required Qualifications1. Graduation from AMA accredited school of radiography
2. Current, valid license in medical radiography from American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
3. Current, valid license in medical radiography from State of Illinois (IEMA)
1. Previous experience with EMR
2. Previous customer service experience
3. 1-2 years experience in radiography
Up to 28 hours per week maximum. Scheduled hours are flexible within Student Health Services normal operating hours of Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30 pm, occasionally extending beyond 4:30 pm.
Functional ExpectationsMust be able to complete the following with or without a reasonable accommodation:
1. Remain at a workstation for extended periods
2. Effectively communicate on a daily basis.
3. Distinguish colors on a monitor

Special Instructions for ApplicantsExtra Help employees may only work up to 28 hours per week for all University employment. Employees are only paid for hours worked and do not qualify for most benefits including health insurance and retirement, with Illinois State University. However, Extra Help employees are eligible to participate in the University's supplemental retirement savings plans (403b). Applicable retirement information is provided at the time of hire. There is no guarantee that working as Extra Help will lead to or secure permanent employment. In addition, Extra Help employees may only work up to 900 hours total during their employment.
