This role is eligible to participate in ALDI's Hybrid Work Program, which allows remote work up to 3 days per week (i.e., work remotely up to 3 days per week; work in-office at least 2 days per week).
Duties and Responsibilities: Must be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation. • Communicates and informs leader of issues, status and results of assigned tasks in a timely manner.
• Recommends process improvements for area of responsibility.
• Assists with subsidiary financial statements to ensure timely and accurate financial results are reported.
• Prepares journal entries, monthly account reconciliations, and other monthly financial statements as necessary.
• Maintains the lease portfolio and ensure adherence to IFRS standards, while maintaining US GAAP standards.
• Collaborates with ALDI Corporate Development and Real Estate teams regarding transition of subsidiary stores into ALDI SAP systems.
• Ensures ALDI legal entity compliance when stores convert into the ALDI SAP portfolio.
• Provides support to external auditors.
• Researches relevant accounting standards without guidance where multiple interpretations are possible and develop internal memorandums.
• Determines and creates the required project deliverables.
• Assists leadership in implementation and rollouts of large-scale projects and performs other special projects as required.
• Identifies and develops improvements to standard team processes that require investigation and partnership with other departments.
• Collaborates with team members and communicates relevant information to leadership.
• Upholds the security and confidentiality of documents and data within area of responsibility.

Education and Experience: • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field required. • A minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in Accounting or Finance required. • Or, a combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge. • CPA preferred. Physical Requirements: • Work may be performed in an office, remote office or a combination of both where a computer and office equipment may be used as needed to perform duties.
• Regularly required to sit, reach, grasp, stand and move from one area to another.
• Constantly and repeatedly use keyboard/mouse.
• Occasionally required to push, pull, bend, lift and move up to 25 lbs. Travel: • Domestic travel required. • Up to 10%.
