- A master’s degree and two years relevant experience is preferred. At least one degree must be in an agricultural field from an accredited institution, with course work in animal science. Applicants with a bachelor’s degree and a minimum of four years relevant experience may be considered. If hired, employment would be contingent upon completion of a master’s degree within seven years.
- Experience in Livestock Production.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively and cooperatively with coworkers and clients with a variety of values and interests.
- Self-directed with strong organizational skills.
- The successful candidate will be expected to accomplish year-round field work and be available to work some nights and weekends.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and be willing to travel for work. Mileage will be reimbursed at the current federal rate.
Additional Preferred Qualification
- Demonstrated competency in presenting educational programs and using computers and current communication technology (e.g., presentation software, video conferencing, and use of online reporting systems).
